The Story Behind the Painting: As many photographers on the island can attest we have the most beautiful sunrises here on the island. This painting was done from a photograph taken by Mike Argo as he stood just off of Boddecker Road on the far east end of the island. I loved that he captured the water rushing over the rocks. You can almost hear it as you look at the painting. Can you feel the ocean breeze? Notice off in the distance the ships waiting in line to come into the harbor.
